We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team at Abbott, a global healthcare company. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure, supporting the business goals of our manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the IT team in ensuring the delivery and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure to support business operations.
- Be the central point of contact for all IT matters at the site, accountable to site leadership and the user community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with site and divisional leadership to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Oversee a team of internal resources and contractors to deliver IT projects and services.
- Ensure IT systems support the goals and objectives of leadership, with minimal negative impact from changes to those systems.
- Restore functionality to IT systems when issues arise, prioritizing business operations.
- Participate in and/or lead Major Incident/crisis calls as necessary.
- Drive Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and CAPAs when warranted.
- Improve systems supportability, performance, availability, and reliability through best practices.
- Stimulate creativity and innovation in others, promoting a global perspective.
- Involve and oversee IT business consultants and external technology experts as needed.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key software vendors and counterparts at other companies.
- Oversee and control site IT budgets, seeking opportunities for best investment of Abbott's resources.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Manage IT projects at the site, participating in business projects based on IT and business process expertise.
- Lead the Plant IT team, setting expectations, coaching, counseling, developing, evaluating, feedback, hiring, discipline, and separation.
- Establish staffing/resources plans, determining the appropriate mix of sourcing opportunities.
- Operate with goals set by ANSC and IT leadership, while being highly self-motivated and directed.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, industrial engineering, or another relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of IT or business experience, preferably in a large multinational organization.
- Strong experience in life sciences, including GxP system validation.
- Established history of managing teams.
- Proven ability to manage a budget, including Capital and Operating Expense.
- Experience in manufacturing IT.
- Exceptional oral and written capabilities in both Dutch and English, with demonstrated experience developing well-structured, logical, and audience-relevant communications.
- Demonstrated ability to work in highly ambiguous and complex environments.
- Broad IT or business expertise in various disciplines, including system development and infrastructure.
- Strong project management skills.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the Netherlands without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Travel requirements are estimated at 5%, with occasional group meetings in the US or elsewhere in Europe.
