Core Job Responsibilities
- Ensure our IT systems and infrastructure are delivered and maintained as necessary to support Abbott Nutrition's operations.
- Act as the central point of contact for all IT matters at the Zwolle, NL manufacturing site and be accountable to site leadership and the user community.
- Lead the IT team and maintain relationships with site and divisional leadership.
- Oversee a team of internal people and contractors to ensure the IT systems used by AN supply chain support the goals and objectives of leadership.
- Restore functionality of systems when they do not function as expected and participate in Major Incident/crisis calls as necessary.
- Drive all teams to complete Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and CAPAs when warranted.
- Proactively improve systems supportability, performance, availability, and reliability through best practices.
- Stimulate creativity and innovation in others and promote a Global Perspective.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key software vendors and counterparts at other companies.
- Oversee and control site IT budgets, including project capital/RCE expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements in our served markets.
- Manage IT projects at the site and participate in business projects based on IT and business process expertise.
- Responsible for all aspects of people leadership for the Plant IT team, including setting expectations, coaching, counseling, developing, evaluating, feedback, hiring, discipline, and separation.
- Establish staffing/resources plans determining the appropriate mix of sourcing opportunities.
- Responsible for overall organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, industrial engineering, or another discipline relevant for the healthcare industry or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of IT or business experience, preferably in a large multinational organization.
- Strong experience in life sciences, including GxP system validation.
- An established history of managing teams.
- A proven ability to manage a budget, including Capital and Operating Expense.
- Experience in manufacturing IT.
- Exceptional oral and written capabilities in both Dutch and English, with demonstrated experience developing well-structured, logical, and audience-relevant communications.
- Demonstrated ability to work in highly ambiguous and complex environments.
- Broad IT or business expertise in various disciplines like system development and infrastructure.
- Strong project management skills.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the Netherlands without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Travel requirements are estimated at 5%, as we have occasional group meetings in the US or elsewhere in Europe.
