As we rapidly expand, we are in search of an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to spearhead our initiatives in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across the EMEA region, striving for excellence in EHS standards.

We are looking for a proactive and seasoned EHS Manager to join our organization. In this capacity, you will be tasked with developing, executing, and coordinating EHS programs and policies for the company. This encompasses conducting risk evaluations, formulating safety protocols, training personnel on EHS regulations, and investigating incidents. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-focused professional, passionate about EHS, with the ability to identify, coordinate, and implement improvements while engaging effectively with stakeholders.

Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that employees are well-informed about their EHS duties, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver EHS solutions, assisting teams in integrating our EHS standards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to all relevant local regulations and corporate policies. As the EHS Manager, you will serve as the primary contact for all EMEA EHS escalations and processes, engaging in regional projects and initiatives.

Your Contributions

• Ensure the achievement of EHS performance aligned with personal, team, and functional objectives, supporting the Senior EHS Manager in delivering strategic improvements.
• Implement the global EHS strategy as defined by the Senior Manager of EHS in the EMEA region.
• Foster strong relationships with EHS vendors in the region and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews to ensure alignment with established success KPIs.
• Cultivate a safety culture in the EMEA region by promoting safety awareness training.
• Advance ergonomics compliance throughout the region.
• Coordinate the regional Medical and Eye Health Program.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of EMEA-specific EHS regulations and practices.
• Utilize online systems for tracking and managing tickets, as well as creating simple web pages.
• Oversee and maintain regional ergonomics programs and evaluations.
• Investigate and support all EHS-related incident inquiries from initiation to resolution, including accident investigations and recommending corrective actions.
• Serve as the Prevention Officer for the region.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards, including addressing any safety gaps identified.
• Analyze EHS metrics quarterly to identify trends and rationalize resource allocation to high-risk areas, implementing solutions to mitigate exposure and prevent injuries.
• Develop and implement safety procedures for all operations.
• Organize and facilitate worker consultation and participation through EHS committee meetings.
• Oversee the Emergency Response Teams (ERT) program in the region.
• Design and deliver training programs on EHS regulations and procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive EHS records and documentation.
• Compile and analyze data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
• Stay informed about EHS regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
• Engage in daily collaboration with the US and/or JAPAC EHS teams.

Qualifications

Your Background

• A minimum of 7 years of EHS experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Experience in managing ergonomic programs and holding Ergonomics Certification.
• Extensive experience in risk management within data centers and electrical safety.
• Possession of EHS Certifications such as NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), IOSH Managing Safely, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
• Proven experience applying a strong understanding of European EHS regulations and procedures.
• Ability to establish strong relationships and communicate effectively across all levels and functions within the organization.
• Capability to manage multiple sites and remote teams.
• A BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, or equivalent military experience is required; a degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management is highly desirable.
