About the Role
GKN Aerospace is seeking a skilled Category Procurement Manager to join our team. As a Category Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commodity strategies that leverage GKN Aerospace's spend to deliver significant annual improvements in cost and service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commodity strategies that align with GKN Aerospace's strategic goals.
- Manage cross-functional stakeholder teams to identify business needs and implement contracts that support business requirements.
- Function as a trusted business partner supporting Category's internal customers to fulfil their strategic requirements.
- Accountable for delivery of the targeted savings by business line and/or central function identified to improve bottom line profitability of GKN Aerospace.
Requirements
- Proven ability to steer the long-term direction of Professional Services procurement and category management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement activities within commodities of responsibility.
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply markets for relevant commodities.
- Proven leadership skills; especially influencing skills.
- Ability to work with senior management as a peer to gain their support for delivery of commodity management strategy and contract implementation.
