Job Summary

Key Responsibilities


• Administer the packages of the instrumentation engineering group, ensuring seamless execution of projects.

• Utilize technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce a range of instrumentation engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, reports, and technical requisitions.

• Develop and implement instrumentation engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with project procedures, specifications, and standards.

• Collaborate with the project management team and engineering teams to ensure effective execution of EPC packages.

• Participate in design reviews and engineering changes, ensuring alignment with customer and EPC contractor requirements.

• Collaborate with customers and contractors to ensure successful project execution.

• Participate in project reviews, value engineering, and value improvement workshops.

• Review and comment on vendor documentation, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

• Conduct site surveys and develop site survey reports, ensuring accurate data collection.

• Review and comment on PFD/P&ID for control/interlock/safety-related representations, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

• Participate in HAZOP/SIL review meetings, implementing safety instrument design as per review reports.

• Implement safety instrument design, performing SIL verifications and revising instrument design structures as required.

• Review and approve supplier documents, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

• Design control room layouts, ensuring effective use of space and equipment.

• Instruct and advise instrument design teams on control system hardware and cabling installation design, system cabinet earthing and grounding design.

• Prepare instrument bills of quantity and subcontractor requisitions for control system hardware installation work.

• Review and comment on supplier test procedures, attending FAT/SAT and following up with any punch list.

• Prepare functional test procedures for loop testing, as requested by clients.

• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and project field personnel to ensure successful project execution.

• Ensure all comments are consistent and included in drawings according to applicable procedures.

Requirements


• Relevant degree or Chartered Engineer or appropriate experience.

• Proven record of minimum 10 years in engineering of refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar facilities.

• Experience of FEED and EPC projects.

• Experienced engineer with sound technical background and expertise.

• Experienced in the use of appropriate codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation.

• Fluent English, knowledge of French and Dutch is a plus.
