About the Role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for controlling and directing the team to achieve successful strategy plans. They facilitate an environment where the team can exceed their performances, grow in personal developments, and work in a pleasant environment where everyone contributes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the team to achieve all warehouse objectives and targets while managing continuous improvement of the Warehouse and operations
  • Managing efficient resource planning by maintaining forecasts and translating to required resources to stay cost-effective
  • Chairing Warehouse team meetings, organizing daily/weekly workforce briefings to ensure direct reports and associates understand company expectations and targets, including follow-up on actions
  • Ensuring all work instructions, H&S, and Safe Systems of work are complied with, with support from the QEHS team to deliver a culture of safety and safe working practices
  • Monitoring sickness absence, including ensuring the sickness absence database is updated correctly
  • Managing absence cover and succession planning
  • Ensuring all direct reports have annual appraisals and reviews, and that training needs are identified and training plans implemented
  • Managing training plans to ensure all warehouse roles have competent operators
  • Supporting in financial and budgeting reviews to translate to Operations to build operational financial awareness
  • Working closely with the LEAN Development Specialist to develop a strong LEAN culture from bottom to top
  • Supporting Engineering in potential automation projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration with a minimum of 5 years of experience in logistical operations as a leader
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Business Intelligence and how to translate to Operations
