Transformative Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned engineering professional to lead our multidisciplinary support department, driving excellence in operations and performance improvement. As a mid-career senior engineer, you will leverage your broad expertise to develop and mentor high-performers, troubleshoot and improve processes, and embed continuous improvement and simplification in our value chain.

A Day in the Life

  • Build a successful support team, consisting of Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance & Facility Services, and Operational Excellence.
  • Develop existing and new talents towards high-performers.
  • Troubleshoot and improve processes, focused on unburdening our manufacturing-, inspection-, and warehouse teams.
  • Embed continuous improvement and simplification in our value chain.
  • Further deploy our Medtronic Performance System (MPS), optimizing reliability, productivity, throughput times, compliance, and safety.
  • Foster effective Tier management and lead problem-solving.
  • Boost equipment reliability and capacity utilization.
  • Drive process automation and digitization and promote data analysis and visualization.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and facilitate workshops.
  • Take Process Validation to the next level, in line with applicable standards in the medical device arena.
  • Optimize alignment with other enabling functions, like Planning, Safety, Quality, Sourcing, and Product Engineering.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of multi-company working experience in several engineering roles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
  • Well-developed coaching skills and comfortable with applying modern leadership techniques in small teams.
  • Broad understanding and vision about industrial engineering, production technology, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, integrated quality, and factory-safety.
  • Excellence in continuous improvement with proven track record of achieving outstanding performance in discrete manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated successes in managing change and transformation in a multidisciplinary organization.
  • Strong project leadership expertise and outstanding documenting-, reporting-, and presenting skills.
