Responsibilities
• Assemble a successful support team, comprising Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance & Facility Services, and Operational Excellence (expanding from 4 to 6 FTE)
• Cultivate existing and new talents into high-performing individuals
• Diagnose and enhance processes, focusing on alleviating challenges faced by our manufacturing, inspection, and warehouse teams
• Integrate continuous improvement and simplification within our value chain
• Further implement our Medtronic Performance System (MPS), optimizing reliability, productivity, throughput times, compliance, and safety
• Promote effective Tier management and lead problem-solving initiatives
• Enhance equipment reliability and capacity utilization
• Propel process automation and digitization while advocating for data analysis and visualization
• Lead continuous improvement projects and facilitate workshops
• Elevate Process Validation to meet applicable standards in the medical device sector
• Optimize collaboration with other enabling functions, such as Planning, Safety, Quality, Sourcing, and Product Engineering
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of diverse experience in various engineering roles within a manufacturing setting
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong coaching abilities and comfort with modern leadership techniques in small teams
• Comprehensive understanding and vision of industrial engineering, production technology, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, integrated quality, and factory safety
• Proven excellence in continuous improvement with a track record of achieving exceptional performance in discrete manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated success in managing change and transformation within a multidisciplinary organization
• Strong project leadership skills along with excellent documentation, reporting, and presentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in Dutch and English (both oral and written)
• Knowledge of process automation and business digitization
• Insights into equipment investment planning
• Advanced software skills (office, business intelligence reporting, data analysis)
• Experience in and/or strong affinity with highly-regulated industries, such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals
• Willingness to travel internationally to other Medtronic locations on an occasional basis
• Ideally, a Lean Six Sigma black belt certification and experience in Performance Management System implementations, along with some international work experience
