Are you an experienced senior engineer looking to leverage your expertise in leading and developing teams in a high-performing culture? We are seeking a talented leader to lead and develop our new multidisciplinary support department.
A Day in the Life
- Build and lead a successful support team, combining Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance & Facility Services, and Operational Excellence.
- Develop existing and new talents towards high-performers.
- Troubleshoot and improve processes, focusing on unburdening our manufacturing, inspection, and warehouse teams.
- Embed continuous improvement and simplification in our value chain.
- Further deploy our Medtronic Performance System (MPS), optimizing reliability, productivity, throughput times, compliance, and safety.
- Foster effective Tier management and lead problem-solving.
- Boost equipment reliability and capacity utilization.
- Drive process automation and digitization, promoting data analysis and visualization.
- Lead continuous improvement projects and facilitate workshops.
- Take Process Validation to the next level, in line with applicable standards in the medical device arena.
- Optimize alignment with other enabling functions, like Planning, Safety, Quality, Sourcing, and Product Engineering.
Requirements
- 10+ years of multi-company working experience in several engineering roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- Well-developed coaching skills and comfortable with applying modern leadership techniques in small teams.
- Broad understanding and vision about industrial engineering, production technology, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, integrated quality, and factory safety.
- Excellence in continuous improvement with a proven track record of achieving outstanding performance in discrete manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated successes in managing change and transformation in a multidisciplinary organization.
- Strong project leadership expertise and outstanding documenting, reporting, and presenting skills.
