Lead Operations Strategist

Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee the Inbound, Putaway, Replenishment, and Expediting departments, ensuring precise and effective execution of tasks in alignment with established protocols and timelines. In addition to managing daily operations, you will play a key role in our expansion initiative at the Kerkrade facility, which includes the enhancement of our existing warehouse and the integration of new automation technologies.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse personnel through supervisors and team leaders to cultivate a motivated workforce.
- Achieve quality benchmarks by adhering to quality management systems and collaborating with the quality assurance team as needed.
- Oversee the departmental financial plan.
- Implement and uphold the Boston Scientific Lean Essentials methodology.
- Continuously strive to optimize logistics operations, eliminating non-value-added tasks while promoting innovative systems and process improvements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
- Set and communicate departmental objectives to ensure effective performance metrics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing, distribution, logistics networks, and third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless communication and process execution.
- Ensure a safe working environment by promoting and adhering to all safety regulations.
- Facilitate and manage interdepartmental communications and collaborative initiatives.
- Guarantee the accuracy of data systems (e.g., Kronos, SAP).
- Develop strategic plans to support future growth.
- Address customer complaints through thorough investigation and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to the operations management team, reporting directly to the Senior Distribution Director for the EMEA region.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field.
- Experience in supply chain operations within the MedTech industry is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in logistics or distribution roles.
- At least 3 years of experience managing a diverse team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven project management capabilities.
- Ability to work in a structured, process-oriented manner.
- Innovative thinker with a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
