Director Data Governance

In today's data-driven world, a robust data strategy and governance framework are crucial for informed decision-making and innovation. As a Director Data Governance at DSM, you will lead our global Data Governance program, shaping the way we handle, govern, and enhance our data assets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic data governance initiatives and lead a team of dedicated data professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead an engaged and collaborative Data Governance team.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and performance management of team members.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy, data governance framework, and data operating model.
  • Create a robust vision for a central data platform aligned with business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements and data strategy and data architecture alignment.
  • Guide and support data domain leaders in defining and implementing their data domain, sub-domains, data strategy, and data governance.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive base salary ranging from €93,563 to €133,661 per year.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of leadership experience in senior data management and data governance roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing data governance models.
  • Experience in formalizing data governance principles, processes, and standards.
  • Knowledge of data and analytics concepts, tools, and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
  • Strong people management skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with C-level stakeholders.
