About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our team in the Netherlands. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth and revenue in the institutional and wholesale markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and revenue in the institutional and wholesale markets
  • Analyze and address client needs, including those of pension funds, insurance companies, private banks, asset managers, and family offices
  • Follow a consultative selling approach to develop and sell solutions rather than pushing existing products
  • Have a deep understanding of the financial institutions and their strategies, and be able to leverage key specialists and cooperate with relevant team members
  • Assess and develop new opportunities and identify emerging sales trends
  • Drive individual and team key performance indicators and contribute to delivering the team's annual sales targets
  • Cooperate across departments with investment specialists, portfolio management, marketing, client servicing, and legal and compliance
Requirements
  • Over 5 years of asset management experience and proven skills in selling investment solutions and strategies
  • A broad network of key decision makers in the institutional and/or wholesale market in the Netherlands
  • A strong track record in client acquisition and relationship management and developing new and existing relationships with asset owners and distributors in the Netherlands
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the asset management industry, clients, strategy, sales process, and sufficient technical know-how necessary to run client conversations on the various aspects of financial markets
  • Experience or a strong interest and conviction in sustainability investing
  • A VBA or CFA designation or interest to follow one of these educations and acquire one of the designations
  • Highly engaged, proactive, goal-orientated, and structured, with the ability to work independently
  • A strong negotiator and able to create relevance for the client
  • A strong presenter and communicator
  • A collaborative team player
  • A native Dutch speaker, with full professional proficiency in English
