Job Summary

STAFIDE is seeking a highly skilled Operational Research Analyst to join our team. As a Junior Operational Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting complex problem-solving using simple tools and techniques. You will work closely with senior Operational Analysis (OA) staff to undertake a range of analytical and data-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform data and operational analysis to support decision-making processes at a high level.
  • Utilize OA techniques, including wargaming, modeling, and what-if analysis.
  • Translate military logic and documented rules from pseudocode into efficient Python code within a DevOps environment.
  • Support data collection, collation, and analysis using tools such as Python, Excel, and others.
  • Assist in the development and updating of documentation and reports for the OA Centre.
  • Methodically collect and present data from various sources in a clear and logical manner.
  • Produce verified and validated datasets under time constraints using expert-level MS Office tools.
  • Summarize results for presentation in PowerBI Dashboards, MS PowerPoint, and Word documents.
  • Conduct tasks on-site in The Hague and participate in occasional trips to Mons or Brussels to support OA staff.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in conducting analytical studies and supporting decision-makers using operational research/analysis tools and techniques.
  • At least 1 year of experience using Python to support data analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in reviewing and analyzing large data sets using tools like MS Excel and other data analysis platforms.
