The Eindhoven University of Technology is seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the field of power electronics for hydrogen applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing optimal design strategies for large-scale hydrogen integration with different power grid network configurations and power conversion technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and develop new DC power electronics topologies and control algorithms for offshore wind power to hydrogen applications.
- Design and implement advanced topologies and optimal control of high-power medium voltage DC/DC converters to minimize life-time degradation of electrolyzers.
- Integrate and test power converters with 25 kW high-pressure electrolyzer stacks.
- Ph.D. in power electronics or a related field.
- Proven track record of conducting high-quality academic research, demonstrated by relevant publications and/or a Ph.D. thesis.
- Extensive experience in high-power power electronics converter design and implementation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary context.
- A meaningful job in a dynamic and ambitious university with opportunities to present research at international conferences.
- A full-time employment contract for 18 months.
