GKN Aerospace is on the cutting-edge of air travel innovation, and we're looking for talented individuals to join our team.

We offer a competitive salary between € 3.189,- and 4.295,- per month, depending on your experience and qualifications, according to the CLA Metalektro.

As an Aerospace IT Support Specialist, you'll be part of a close-knit team providing 1st and 2nd line IT support to all levels of the business. You'll ensure that all calls are correctly logged and managed, and that requests for IT services and incidents are resolved efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Following HSE rules & regulations
  • Providing a professional, customer-focused, and efficient IT support service in line with agreed SLAs
  • Educating and guiding the local IT community and customers on correct processes to log issues and request IT services
  • Ensuring call queues are consistently monitored and potential SLA breaches are proactively identified and managed
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of best practices and continuous service improvement culture
  • Identifying training requirements and creating knowledge and training materials as needed
  • Escalating issues and problems, providing IT advice and expertise to team members and customers

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 1+ years' experience in an IT technical support team, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience as 1st or 2nd line IT Service Desk
  • Familiarity with working in a large multi-tiered IT support environment
  • Relevant technical IT qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work under deadlines
  • Service-oriented, self-starter, driven, eager to learn
  • Strong communication skills and helpful
  • ITIL Foundation Certified (V3 or V4) would be an advantage
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English language

This role may involve collaborating within a team with rotating schedules, leading to shift changes and the need for on-call support during non-standard hours. While not predominantly physical, it will entail some lifting and transporting of IT equipment as part of routine setup and relocation tasks.
