About this research position

TNO is seeking a highly motivated student to investigate the effects of high power electromagnetic (HPEM) radiation on RF components. The goal of this project is to understand how HPEM affects the RF receive chain and to identify potential weak spots.

Your role

You will research the impact of various HPEM parameters, such as frequency, pulse shape, and pulse repetition frequency, on RF components. You will also investigate the influence of different IC technologies, such as InGaP, GaAs, and SiGe:C.

What we expect from you

We are looking for a student with a strong background in electromagnetics and integrated circuits. You should have a good understanding of RF front ends and be familiar with different IC technologies. Experience with performing measurements on RF systems in a lab environment is also required.
