Job Description

As a Supervisor Manufacturing Engineering Equipment within Operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will lead a team of engineers and technical specialists in creating, maintaining, and managing our equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical specialists to deliver equipment with technical product documentation and compliance to regulations.
  • Drive the defined equipment strategy and coordinate equipment projects to meet factory needs.
  • Coordinate external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and align goals with direct reports.
  • Organize proper staffing of engineers to provide adequate technical expertise and prioritize work and resources across the team.
  • Improve team effectiveness, mature assigned teams, and contribute to Operational Excellence (OE) KPIs.
  • Have daily management in place for the team and drive KPIs within required performance.
  • Coach team members' professional development through goal setting, mentoring, and feedback.
  • Provide input on the competence matrix and succession planning.

Requirements

  • University degree in a technical area or a combination of education and experience demonstrating required skills.
  • Typically 7-10 years of experience in a high-tech industry environment in service, development, or manufacturing.
  • 3-5 years of management experience (people and/or projects) in a manufacturing, technical support, or service management role in a high-tech industry environment.
  • Proven experience in equipment fleet management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Experience in tooling design process, proficiency in compliance with safety regulations, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
