We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our team at the Eindhoven University of Technology, working on a project that aims to develop a novel open-source hybrid compilation framework for neutral atom quantum computing architectures.
Project OverviewThe project, AtomCOMP, focuses on developing a framework that combines qubit mapping and circuit-level pulse generation and optimization for neutral atom quantum architectures. This will enable the efficient implementation of quantum algorithms on these platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct cutting-edge research in quantum computing based on Rydberg atoms, with a focus on quantum compilation and optimization techniques, quantum error correction and fault-tolerance, pulse-level control and noise mitigation strategies, and algorithm development.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of theorists and experimentalists to advance the project.
- Present and publish research findings at international conferences and high-impact journals.
- Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong background in quantum computing, quantum mechanics, and computational methods.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar, with experience in quantum computing frameworks like Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#.
- Ability to conduct independent research and work collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Full-time employment for four years, with an intermediate evaluation after nine months.
