We are seeking a skilled Naval Engineering Application Specialist to join our team at Damen Naval.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior CAD Application Expert in our engineering team, supporting the development and implementation of applications within our Computer-Aided Design platform. You will be responsible for driving efficiency and effectiveness across our engineering processes, making a tangible impact on our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for application developments.
  • Analyze issues collaboratively with stakeholders and devise solutions.
  • Develop and implement application processes and functionalities.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
  • Manage interfaces between applications and Cadmatic.
  • Maintain user access rights administration within the application.
  • Setup and configure project environments within Cadmatic.
  • Organize application-related training courses in coordination with the Manager Engineering Support.
  • Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users with regards to Cadmatic.
  • Prepare and develop CADMATIC training materials, tips, application documentation, and user manuals.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency with Cadmatic platform, ideally also affinity with CATIA and the 3DExperience platform (Dassault Systemes).
  • Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management.
  • Excellent command of English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous.
  • Able to work in Vlissingen and Schiedam locations, in The Netherlands.
  • Excellent references, and pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Possession of permanent EU citizenship and passport is required.

Compensation Package:

  • Estimated salary: €65,000 - €80,000 per annum.
  • 8% holiday pay.
  • 27 holidays and 13 ADV days.
  • Travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.
  • PME-pension arrangement with an employer contribution of 60%.
  • Profit sharing based on company results.
  • Working from home policy and other benefits including a bicycle plan and company fitness.
