Job Summary

The Credit and Collections Analyst position is a key role within the Samskip Finance Operations Department, part of the Order to Cash (O2C) team. As a Credit and Collections Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the entire credit risk cycle of the client portfolio, ensuring a profitable portfolio and healthy working capital.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the full credit risk cycle for assigned portfolios, including approval, prevention, early collections, and repayment agreements.
  • Implement credit regulations within the company and improve the disputes solving process.
  • Contribute to process automation and improvements across Samskip companies.
  • Train new employees and colleagues on credit-related topics.
  • Set up and execute reconciliations with customers and intercompany.
  • Establish reporting to management.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to perform analysis and reconciliations using Excel or Business Intelligence tools.
  • Previous experience with SAP is valued.
  • Knowledge of business processes and best practices in Supply Chain and credit control.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Accounting knowledge, specifically concerning bank bookings and invoicing.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Strong organization skills with ability to prioritize multiple competing activities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree or MBO level 4.
  • Ability to work effectively in a commercial environment, representing the finance function.
  • Familiarity with process improvement initiatives and project work.
  • Experience with complex customer portfolios spread across different legal entities and sales organizations is preferred.

Language and Culture

Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing, is mandatory due to the international working environment. Knowledge of Norwegian language is an advantage.
