Job Title: Engine Performance Calibration Engineer

Cross Border Talents is seeking a skilled Engine Performance Calibration Engineer to join our client, a leading Dutch agency specializing in employment and relocation of highly skilled professionals in the Netherlands.

The role is based in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and is open to engineers from the entire European Union. Our client offers relocation support and assistance to ensure a smooth transition.

As an Engine Performance Calibration Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for calibrating engines for optimal performance under various conditions. Your tasks will include:

  • Developing heavy-duty diesel engines with a focus on engine performance and ECU function calibration;
  • Calibrating and developing mechatronic components on the engine;
  • Validating the performance of new prototype engines;
  • Participating in engine calibration tasks to achieve optimal fuel economy and performance within defined constraints;
  • Initiating improvements to tools and processes;
  • Documenting test results, tool usage, and potential improvements;
  • Collaborating with teams to support various projects.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechatronics, Automotive Technology, or Mechanical Engineering;
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a similar position;
  • Closely related to internal combustion engines;
  • Engine testing experience, preferably on heavy-duty truck engines;
  • Experience in heavy-duty truck engine calibration is a must;
  • Matlab experience (modeling and scripting) is a must;
  • Knowledge of statistics;
  • Excellent English skills, both verbal and written;
  • EU citizenship or necessary documentation for living and working in the Netherlands.
