Job Title: Technical Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accounting Manager to join our Global Accounting team at Booking.com. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the accounting treatment of new products, assessing the accounting of non-recurring transactions, and participating in group reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of new accounting initiatives and products
  • Document technical accounting assessments and drive standardization of processes
  • Identify and prioritize process improvements to enhance daily activities within the accounting and finance department
  • Partner with Financial Controllers and other key Finance departments to align on priorities
  • Provide coaching and development for team members on technical accounting and compliance-related tasks
Requirements:
  • University degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics, and/or post-graduate education (RA/CPA/ACCA)
  • Approx. 8-10 years' experience in finance and/or accounting, preferably in a multi-national corporate environment
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP and experience in working in a team in an international company and matrix organization
  • Participation and experience in cross-functional projects, with a strong focus on improvement and innovation
  • Adaptability and capability to lead and drive change, with high levels of personal effectiveness
