Technical Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Accounting Intern to join our Technical Accounting & Oversight team. As a Technical Accounting Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the team on accounting treatment of new products, assessing the accounting of non-recurring transactions, and participating in group reporting and process improvement.
Responsibilities:- Support the implementation of new accounting initiatives and products
- Organize and support technical accounting assessments (US GAAP and SEC)
- Brainstorm ideas for standardization and simplification
- Participate in collaborative initiatives across teams locally and globally
- Act as a liaison between Financial Controllers and other key Finance departments
- University student of Accounting, Business, or Economics
- Enthusiasm for learning and a good process improvement eye
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Currently enrolled in a Dutch University and living in the Netherlands
Please note that you will be required to provide a contact for your university's internship coordinator for verification purposes. This internship is available for 20 weeks, starting in September 2024, and requires a 4-day workweek at our Amsterdam Campus. The application deadline is July 5.
