Application Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer/ Administrator to join our team at EUROPEAN DYNAMICS. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of applications in production and non-production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and administer applications in production and non-production environments.
  • Monitor application performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform application support and maintenance activities, including incident, change, release, and problem resolution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including application procedures manuals and troubleshooting guides.
  • Automate administrative procedures for recurring system administration activities.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our technical knowledgebase.

Requirements:

  • University degree in IT or related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in IT infrastructure environments, including deployment, support, and maintenance of applications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as an IT professional in the area of application administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with relational databases, especially from an application troubleshooting perspective.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with micro-services, container orchestration, and container-based stacks.
  • Good knowledge of DevOps or automation scripting, as well as Shell scripting (Linux or PowerShell), automation, and deployment tools.
  • Good knowledge of incident, change, and release management.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
