Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Technology Leader to join our team at DSM. As a key member of our Global Technology group, you will be responsible for driving technology development and innovation across our biotechnology applications, with a focus on active isolation and purification technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive technology development across our biotechnology applications, including filter press, micro- and ultrafiltration, centrifugation, and chromatography.
- Responsible for technology scouting, including pilot assessments, to ensure DSM is at the forefront of the latest developments.
- Ensure end-to-end leadership across Operations to evaluate business attractiveness and rally stakeholder networks to obtain approval.
- Own and drive global technology standardization of unit operations and best practices, working closely with R&D technology and process development, as well as Engineering and Capital Procurement.
- Provide URS for new line installations and actively participate in Capex projects.
- Fuel continuous improvement of processes and technologies in the plants in terms of efficiency, yield, quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Lead respective technology know-how management across the organization and maintain relevant communities of practice.
Requirements
- Master's degree in biotechnology, chemical engineering, or food engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including technology scale-ups.
- Proven experience in technology development, scale-up, and large-scale implementation.
- Experience in quality-by-design, R&D processes, shopfloor practices, process safety, and business finance.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with leadership skills and the ability to build relationships in cross-functional and remote setups.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
