Sales Operations Specialist

Introduction

We are seeking a Sales Operations Specialist to drive sales process improvement and adoption of globally defined sales operation procedures. In this role, you will interact closely with colleagues from Shimano Europe and Local Sales Offices to drive and coordinate activities across Bike Retail Sales teams.

With a comprehensive understanding of business and operating models in B2B retail environments, you will be responsible for creating and deploying sales and account management processes across EU Retail markets. You will also provide assistance with requests, training, and onboarding new sales and refresher training for sales team members.

As a Sales Operations Specialist, you will align cross-functional departments and ensure they are engaged in sales motions. You will also coordinate with cross-functional departments to deploy sales actions and follow up to ensure delivery of aligned actions.

The Challenge

  • Creation and deployment of sales and account management processes across EU Retail markets
  • Provide assistance with requests, training, and onboarding new sales and refresher training for sales team members
  • Align cross-functional departments and ensure they are engaged in sales motions
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to deploy sales actions and follow up to ensure delivery of aligned actions
  • Research and translate Sales and Account Management concepts, combine with practical input, and translate to operations in laymen's terms to the Local Sales Office
  • Ensure alignment with cross-functional departments on key initiatives before rolling out to our markets
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Business Analyst to document requirements to develop new systems and automation of processes

What are we looking for?

  • Finished Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant discipline
  • 4-6 years of experience in Sales or similar Operational Support role
  • Comprehensive understanding of business and operating models in B2B retail environments
  • Understanding of and experience with CRM, ERP, and account management
  • Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong communicator with advanced communication skills in English that result in effective delivery of key messages for an international audience
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and planning ability
  • Strong analytical ability to identify root causes in a methodical way
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
