Job Title: Security Guard in The Netherlands

We are seeking a skilled and licensed security guard to join our team at Heterdaadkracht in the Netherlands, particularly in the Leiden, The Hague, and Gouda regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and safeguard buildings or businesses.
  • Utilize provided software to compose daily reports.
  • Conduct surveillance rounds as needed to ensure a secure environment.
  • Verify identities at property access points.
  • Prevent and deter criminal activities or violations.
  • Communicate effectively with the police when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and professional atmosphere.
Requirements:
  1. European passport: A valid European passport is mandatory.
  2. Clean criminal record: You must have lived in a European country for the last 8 years and provide a Certificate of Conduct (preferably in English).
  3. Languages: Proficiency in English and/or Dutch is required for communication with colleagues and the police, as well as for writing emails and reports. We recommend taking an online Dutch course to reach level A2 or B1.
  4. Internship contract: Accept an internship contract for one year to obtain the Security Guard title in Dutch, paid for by the company (provided you have basic Dutch proficiency). We offer 0-hour contracts, allowing you to determine your availability in 4-week blocks. The minimum hours required to complete an internship are 320 hours per year, with a maximum of 12 working hours per day. If you prefer not to opt for the internship contract, you can independently follow the title validation process.
  5. BSN number: You must have a BSN number in the Netherlands and have an address in The Netherlands.
Benefits:
  • Salary between €16.59 – €19.08 per hour during normal hours from 07:00 – 18:00.
  • Extra pay for non-conventional hours: 10%, 20%, 35% depending on various factors.
  • Holiday pay and working over 152 hours are paid at 50%.

Please note that if you do not pass the course within the year, you will not be able to apply for the student ID for a second time and will lose the opportunity to work as a security guard throughout the Netherlands.
