Security Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Manager to join our team at TUI.
- Conduct thorough country security risk assessments of existing and potential destinations to ensure the safety of our customers and employees.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive destination-level risk matrix for hotels, excursions, activities, and transfers to inform our business decisions.
- Collaborate with TUI Source Markets and business unit areas to monitor, evaluate, and interpret data from government agencies and publicly issued travel advice.
- Stay up-to-date with global security-related events and analyze security threats and incidents to inform our risk management strategies.
- Influence the development of industry standards for excursions, activities, and transport in destinations.
- Develop and implement the Security Management System for risk assessment, travel advice, excursions, activities, and transport.
- Design and deliver training programs for TUI MM colleagues, DMC colleagues, and shore-ex colleagues on security best practices.
- Act as the Group security SPOC for TUI MM 3rd party relationships, including security crisis situations and 3rd party clients.
- Collaborate with SOM Intelligence to refine the company's regional geopolitical risk perspective and provide analysis of global security incidents.
- Maintain awareness of geopolitical and risk trends affecting the tourism sector.
- Communicate strategic analysis and forecasting to key stakeholders.
- Interact with a wide range of stakeholders, including law enforcement, intelligence agencies, embassies, source markets, and destinations.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience in hotel audit management (RS).
- Proven experience in security management or a proven understanding of applying security management principles.
- Understanding of geopolitics and its impact on tourism business operations in destinations.
- Project management skills.
- Strong, practical, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships across source markets, business units, and with external providers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal confidently and effectively with senior management and external organizations in English.
- Industry knowledge, including security risks and general risk assessment.
- Ability to manage own workloads and work with minimal supervision.
- A flexible and positive approach to work with a willingness to undertake business travel and spend nights away from home.
- Ability to manage and prioritize their own work plan to meet business requirements, tight deadlines, and work remotely or in the office.
- A proactive approach with the ability to multi-task and adapt priorities as situations arise.
- Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
