About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Fleet Development department in Leidschendam, the Netherlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical engineering projects related to our vessels and maritime systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and coordinate the implementation of mechanical systems and components for our vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and budgets.
  • Contribute to the integration of cutting-edge remote operating technology in crewed vessels.
  • Enhance the reliability of our diverse fleet, spanning Geophysical Research Vessels, Geotechnical Drilling Research vessels, and Inspection vessels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of experience in marine applications.
  • Proficiency in designing, planning, and implementing mechanical systems and components for vessels.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills in English.
