We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Casualty Underwriter to join our team in the Netherlands. As a Senior Casualty Underwriter, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing a portfolio of general ledger major and middle market business, as well as building a profitable book of new business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and analyzing existing business to ensure it meets AIG's guidelines and strategies
- Building a profitable book of new business through effective risk assessment and underwriting
- Preparing risk referrals for new and existing business
- Handling rater tools and preparing booking instructions
- Participating in client and broker meetings
- Monitoring the portfolio of business in relation to claims
- Handling commercial relationships with clients and brokers
- Providing presentations, training, and internal and external networking
- Investing in underwriting excellence initiatives
