Finance Business Operations Internship: Accelerate Your Career

As a Finance Business Operations Intern at IDEXX, you will be at the forefront of our Financial and order processing operations. You will be part of the European Finance Business Operations Team, responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant order entry, checks, and processing for multiple countries.

In this role

The Finance Business Operations Team at IDEXX is responsible for processing and managing all orders and service contracts within EMEA. This involves topics such as billing adjustments, product returns, rebates, discounts, and special pricing, which you will interact with various internal stakeholders. You will work closely with IDEXX Sales professionals, the Marketing Department, and Finance to ensure smooth and compliant order flows.

Customer orders received through SAP or various mailboxes for capital products, standing orders, and service contracts are your responsibility. With high demand for our products and a large volume of orders, we require the successful candidate to excel in speed and accuracy. You should be tech-savvy, have an eye for detail, be able to prioritize your workload, and work well with a range of different stakeholders.

What You Will Need to Succeed

We are looking for a Business Management student with a Finance or Business focus, with a passion for numbers, good communication skills, and the ability to multitask.

  • You are available for an internship starting in January or February 2024 for a duration of six months.
  • As we work in an international environment, fluency in English is a key, both written and verbal.
  • Being assertive, taking initiative, and being able to work independently.
  • You enjoy working in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment.
  • You are a strong user of MS Office and especially Excel.
  • You have the ability to work alone and, in a team, you are self-motivated, solutions-driven, within a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • You possess a professional attitude, have attention to detail, and are eager to learn.
  • You have emotional intelligence, humility, willingness to learn, and take and receive feedback constructively.
  • High ethical standards.

Some practical aspects

  • You are available to start in January or February 2024 and can work with us for 6 months full-time (40 hours a week).
  • You need to be enrolled as a student towards the attaining of a degree to be eligible for this internship and to secure university approval to start the assignment. If you are not an European national, you will also need to provide an approved Nuffic agreement.
  • Our office is located in Hoofddorp, next to the train station (25 minutes from Amsterdam by train). This internship will be in a 'hybrid' format. Therefore, you are welcome to work in person at our offices, but can also do it remote, with regular contact with your manager and international colleagues through video call.
