About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Sustainability Business Development Director to join our team at International Flavors & Fragrances. As a key member of our Nourish business, you will play a critical role in driving our sustainability strategy and executing business-led initiatives that deliver incremental value to our customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with our corporate goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into our commercial strategies and unlock new growth opportunities.
- Lead sustainability pipeline initiatives and develop partnerships for regenerative agriculture implementation across our value chain.
- Define and manage certifications and claims strategies to enhance our sustainability offerings.
- Drive cross-functional teams to progress initiatives to launch readiness and deliver a sustainability training program for our commercial teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in the flavors industry and/or food ingredients, with a strong background in sustainability, food, agriculture, business development, or marketing.
- Proven sales and business development experience in the food and agriculture sectors, with a track record of driving results in a self-motivated manner.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to work under pressure and in new environments, and to interact with multiple and diverse organizational functions.
- Experience working with large businesses and global corporations at senior leadership levels, with a strong understanding of regenerative agriculture programs, scope 3 emission tracking, and public funding applications.
