About the Role:

This key position involves managing complex contracts, ensuring legal compliance, and mitigating risks across our global operations. You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, leveraging your expertise to drive successful contract negotiations and strategic business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal principles related to contracts and compliance, with a proven track record of identifying, managing, and mitigating legal risks in complex contractual agreements. A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical, commercial, or legal discipline is required, along with 6+ years of relevant experience in contract management, preferably within logistics, shipping, or related industries. Proficiency in Dutch and English (verbal and written) is essential, with additional languages being a plus.

Your Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts across global projects, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Provide expert guidance to tender management on selecting appropriate contract forms, considering service type and associated risks.
- Collaborate with project management to identify, address, and mitigate potential claims, changes, and variations, ensuring timely notifications.
- Prepare concise contract condition summaries for project managers and directors as needed.
- Participate in risk management sessions with internal stakeholders, contributing to informed decision-making.
- Oversee the development of subcontract terms, ensuring alignment with the main contract and managing risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with project management to manage subcontractor relationships, maintaining consistency with the main contract.
