About the Project
In this research project, you will delve into the physical and chemical processes surrounding foams and reversible seals for hydrostatic wells workover fluids. Your primary focus will be on developing novel formulations and testing their properties under relevant conditions, such as high pressure. This will involve conducting physical and chemical analyses, including TGA, SEM, FTIR, rheology, surface tension, and more.
Your Role
As a research intern, you will work closely with our team of experts to design experiments based on prior research and combine them with innovative nanomaterials technology from TNO. Your work will contribute to understanding the complex behavior resulting from combining diverse materials, such as nanomaterials, polymers, and surfactants.
Requirements
We are looking for a proactive, pragmatic, and independent university or master's student with a background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Knowledge and affinity to physical chemistry are essential, as well as a hands-on mentality. Experience with polymers and rheology is a plus. Good communication skills in English, particularly for presenting your work and writing reports, are expected.
