At WFS PRO BV, we are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer Marine Engineering to join our team at Damen Naval. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for executing design and development activities, including requirements analysis, concept generation, and system architecture.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform design and development activities, including requirements analysis, concept generation, and system architecture.
- Evaluate and assess new marine engineering concepts, including proof-of-concepts and report findings accordingly.
- Produce models and technical documents, specifications for equipment, reports, and make presentations to visualize calculations, concepts, and reporting data.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders and internal departments for optimized project results.
- Master's or bachelor's degree in marine- or mechanical engineering, maritime or other relevant technical studies.
- At least three years of experience in design, proposal, and development practices in the (naval) shipbuilding, maritime or offshore industry.
- Proven success of delivered innovations within the marine engineering field of expertise.
- Familiarity with relevant CAD and calculation software.
- Good command of the English language, preferably also Dutch language both written and verbal.
- Excellent references and antecedents, as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required, and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
- An attractive rate, ensuring at least equal pay to permanent staff.
