Position Overview
Your Role as a Student Engagement SpecialistIn this role, you will collaborate with your team to enhance the recruitment of regional students to HZ. This will involve establishing and nurturing relationships with educational institutions in Zeeland, as well as facilitating meaningful interactions between HZ and prospective students. Your efforts will ensure a seamless transition for students moving from secondary education and vocational training to higher education at HZ. You will play a crucial role in stakeholder engagement and promoting a positive image of HZ, while also managing policies related to student retention as part of the comprehensive student recruitment strategy. Your ability to engage stakeholders through discussions with school leaders and internal consultations will be vital. You will leverage available data to provide informed recommendations that optimize student retention within budgetary constraints, fostering support for these initiatives. The ultimate aim is to help students determine if HZ is the right fit for their educational journey and to prepare them effectively for their future studies.
Each day begins with a team meeting where you and your colleagues review weekly objectives and share updates on your projects. You will then focus on strategies to promote HZ among targeted schools within each educational sector. This involves coordination with account managers in your department. In the afternoon, you will meet with a domain director from a local secondary school to discuss their needs and expectations. Afterward, you will finalize the agreements made and outline the necessary actions. Your day will culminate in drafting a proposal for the Board and Management Team regarding the sustainable organization of both online and offline events for prospective students. Your role is dynamic and involves significant external engagement, which you find invigorating.

You will be part of the Marketing, Communications, Community & Internationalization department, working alongside a diverse group of colleagues. The team is not only dedicated and well-coordinated but also fosters a fun and engaging work environment.

You are data-driven and have a background in project management. Additionally, you should have:
A relevant bachelor's degree, such as in Commercial Economics or Strategic Marketing. 5-10 years of professional experience. A strong interest in education, with knowledge of secondary and vocational education being advantageous. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed. Opportunities for Growth

A one-year contract, with renewal contingent on performance and developmental opportunities. A competitive gross monthly salary ranging from €3,246.85 to €5,170.32 for full-time positions (scale 10 as per CAO HBO). Year-end bonus of 8.3%, vacation pay of 8%, and potential contributions towards travel and home office expenses. Approximately 53 days of leave for full-time employees.
