Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Leader to join our team at Stork. As a Project Leader, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing the engineering, preparation, execution, testing, and delivery of complex projects, ensuring the right quality within the budget and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the engineering, preparation, execution, testing, and delivery of projects, ensuring the right quality within the budget and timelines.
  • Provide positive leadership regarding safety and the environment to ensure that the project is executed in a safe manner.
  • Be the point of contact for the client on behalf of Stork and the project team, with regular discussions on financial status, progress, planning, and safety-related matters.
  • Provide advice on costs during the proposal phase, check the project budget, and analyze the scope, integrating mitigating actions that follow from the scope analysis.
  • Develop project plans, project procedures, instructions, and a VGM plan.
  • Motivate and direct the site project team, organize project meetings, and appoint people responsible for the execution and compliance with planning and agreements.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the project through contract management, cost control, and ensuring profitable extra work.
  • Be responsible for contract management of subcontractors.

Requirements

  • You have a completed technical HBO education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or technical business administration.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a leadership project management role.
  • You have experience in the oil, gas, chemical, and/or energy industry.
  • Preferably, you have experience with complex projects and/or turnarounds, both in terms of execution as well as contractually.
  • You have a strong personality and stand firmly in your shoes in a demanding, technical environment and are able to motivate the team in the right way.
  • As a Project Leader, you have excellent communicative and commercial skills. You are also analytically sharp and able to plan and organize well. You have persuasive power and an open attitude.
