Finance and Accounting Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and consolidate financial data from various systems and sources on a daily basis.
  • Generate and distribute a comprehensive daily management report to stakeholders.
  • Perform daily revenue reconciliation to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in bookings and existing reservations.
  • Manage and oversee the General Cashier journals, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Maintain open communication with operational departments to ensure adherence to Marriott International's policies and procedures.
  • Provide support during month-end closing, delivering necessary documents to the Assistant DOF.

Additional Skills and Knowledge:

  • A general understanding of accounts receivable tasks, including processing invoices and payments, reconciling credit card transactions, and handling debt collection.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable tasks, such as reviewing and administering incoming invoices, requesting missing documents, and maintaining accurate accounts payable data.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Opera and/or Peoplesoft is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch is required.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary.
  • Work permit for the Netherlands is mandatory.
