Job Overview


Expleo Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Field Engineer to join our team.


Key Responsibilities



  • Troubleshoot products at customer sites to ensure maximum availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical expertise to subcontractors, warranty support team, project team members, and less experienced personnel.
  • Carry out troubleshooting during the planning and implementation period, as well as pre-warranty and commissioning (and validation and certification if applicable), including investigation and repair.
  • Carry out fleet check activities.
  • Report and register any deviations (failures/events) in the Failure Management database, including configuration data.
  • Support the operations helpdesk.
  • Apply and enforce EHS and security rules and relevant PI processes on customer sites.
  • Execute test and troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance and perform failure analysis on parts to be returned for repair.
  • Support implementation of field modifications (FM operator) if required.
  • Support specific technical investigations by Engineering or internal/external suppliers.
  • Recommend preventative and corrective actions.
  • Instruct and direct operators in field modification and repairs if needed.
  • Advise PI management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements.
  • Ensure good information flow about interventions and operations within troubleshooting to support shift transition if needed.
  • Conduct peer reviews of PI activities and provide technical leadership if requested.
  • Achieve contractual availability (milestone) targets.

Requirements


We are looking for a certified technician or undergraduate in a technical field (mechanical or electrical/electronics) with 5 years of technical troubleshooting/investigation experience (mechanical or electrical/electronic).


The ideal candidate should have strong PC knowledge and be able to do software updates on vehicles, along with a minimum of IT knowledge and knowledge of Maximo (a benefit).


The candidate should also have EHS knowledge and exposure, internal EHS training, strong product knowledge, and knowledge of railway safety/product liability.


Additionally, the candidate should be able to work in shifts (day/night) and weekend and be fluent in Dutch and have knowledge of English.
