We're looking for a skilled Senior Technical Expert to join our Technical Services team. As a key member, you'll provide high-level technical support for our propulsion products, handling maintenance and troubleshooting for propellers, waterjets, and energy-saving devices.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely support in accordance with Wärtsilä quality standards.
  • Handle technical requests from external and internal customers for support on installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and repair activities worldwide.
  • Contribute to product improvement and create Service Bulletins.
  • Participate in and perform root cause analyses.
  • Conduct expert technical field investigations and screen field service reporting.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to enable efficient world-class support.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with mechanics, hydraulics, machinery controls, and propulsion systems/rotary equipment.
  • Relevant experience with marine equipment operations and/or installation and maintenance is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A structured, analytical, and proactive approach.
  • A customer-oriented and service-minded attitude.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Fluency in Dutch and/or Norwegian is an advantage.
