Senior Python Software Development Manager

As a Practice Lead at Sopra Steria, you will be responsible for leading a team of enthusiastic developers and architects in the Python club in the Netherlands. Your vision for the market will drive business growth and shape projects. You will support your team, help them find suitable assignments, and promote their development. As a reliable business partner, you will build teams that meet customer expectations and create an environment for success. You will lead the winning bidding processes and contribute to the strategy and execution of innovative solutions as a member of the leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a vision for the market to generate business and shape projects;
- Support and develop your team, helping them find suitable assignments and promoting their development;
- Build teams that meet customer expectations and create an environment for success;
- Lead the winning bidding processes and contribute to the strategy and execution of innovative solutions;
Requirements:
- Relevant HBO or WO education, preferably in IT Software engineering, mathematics, physics, or technical engineering;
- At least 5 years of experience in agile software development, preferably also as a developer;
- At least 2 years of experience in managing a team and facilitating the development of team members;
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with Python applications;
- Experience or familiarity with delivering solutions for customers;
- People management: leadership aimed at inspiring, motivating, and involving your team and customers;
- Focus on collaboration and building a solid network, both within and outside Sopra Steria;
