Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Job Description
Huntsman is looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician Mechanical to join our team in Rotterdam. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our chemical plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal plant performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the operations and maintenance teams to plan and execute maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for plant operations.
Requirements
- Minimum MBO4 diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience in the chemical industry.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, with a focus on rotating equipment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Familiarity with SAP maintenance management tools is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
- Ability to work with breathing apparatus.
