As a Senior Mechatronics Project Manager at VDL ETG Technology & Development Almelo, you will be responsible for managing highly innovative and complex projects in a high-end precision environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver innovative mechatronic systems from development to manufacturing and customer acceptance.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of technical experts, ensuring timely delivery within agreed boundaries (time, quality, budget, and scope).
  • Collaborate with a System Architect to make informed technical decisions.
  • Monitor and control project progress, including supply chain and manufacturing activities.
  • Manage stakeholders, including external customers and internal stakeholders at various managerial levels and functional domains.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and component suppliers.
  • Apply project management and development processes within the organization.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of project management competency within the department.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanics, Electronics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong academic background and professional project management skills, preferably certified (PMI, PRINCE2, IPMA).
  • At least 5-10 years of experience as a project leader for high-end equipment, leading multidisciplinary development teams.
  • Knowledge of Design for Excellence and a successful track record in equipment development projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and convince people.
  • Proactive, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills, with a 'can-do' mentality.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
