We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our team at the Universiteit Utrecht, Department of Methodology and Statistics. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative project focused on developing and applying Bayesian evaluation methods for single case experimental designs (SCEDs) in therapy effect evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and evaluate Bayesian evaluation methods for SCEDs
- Apply these methods to real data from ARQ Centrum'45
- Develop open-access software in R for therapists and clinical psychologists
- Conduct research and publish findings in top-tier journals
- Present research at conferences and workshops
- Participate in the PhD network IOPS and attend relevant courses and seminars
- Conduct teaching and contribute to the development of undergraduate tutorials
- Master's degree in Methodology and Statistics, data science, Econometrics, Psychometrics, or a related field
- Programming skills in R
- Adequate verbal and written communication skills in English
- Interest in working in an interdisciplinary team
- Interest in mental health care for vulnerable groups
The project is funded by the NWO and focuses on developing effective psychological treatments for traumatised refugees using Bayesian methodology. The PhD candidate will work closely with clinical psychologists, therapists, programmers, and statisticians to achieve this goal.
