About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at AMOLF, a leading research institute in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on understanding the role of cooperativity in sensing performance, leveraging innovative ideas in stochastic thermodynamics, biophysics, and nonlinear optics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on cooperative sensing in optical systems, exploring the fundamental limits and opportunities of this phenomenon.
  • Collaborate with researchers from three groups at AMOLF, leveraging expertise in stochastic thermodynamics, biophysics, and nonlinear optics.
  • Design and conduct experiments, as well as develop theoretical models to understand cooperative sensing.
  • Present research findings at international conferences and publish papers in top-tier journals.
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you should have a PhD degree in physics or a closely related field. Ideal candidates will have a background in optics/nanophotonics or stochastic thermodynamics, an affinity for experiments, and an ability to work in a small team. Enthusiasm for exploring the boundaries between fields and interest in statistical physics, nonlinear optics, and thermodynamics are also highly valued.
