We are seeking an outstanding experimental researcher to join our team at TU Delft. The successful candidate will have a strong background in corrosion research of light metal alloys and mitigation strategies.
Job DescriptionThe research will focus on the performance of light alloys under aqueous environment exposition. The candidate will work in close collaboration with NRG and other research partners within the project.
Requirements- PhD in corrosion science and/or engineering
- Proven experience with conventional electrochemical experimental analysis
- Experience with surface analysis methods (e.g. SEM, XRD, XPS, AFM)
- Critical and creative approach to research with good problem-solving skills
- Proven experience writing scientific publications and preparing communications for scientific and technical meetings
- Motivation to work in an international, multidisciplinary, and academic-industrial team
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. The TU Delft offers a customisable compensation package, discounts on health insurance, and a monthly work costs contribution. Flexible work schedules can be arranged.
