Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Credit Specialties team as a Junior Credit Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and expanding our client base, providing comprehensive risk transfer solutions, and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough risk analysis of credit and political/country risks impacting our clients and their investments.
- Monitor economic trends, geopolitical events, and financial reports to identify potential clients for portfolio growth.
- Review annual reports to identify potential needs for surety facilities to support our clients and prospects.
- Approach insurers/underwriters with inquiries to provide risk transfer solutions for our clients and prospects.
- Participate in the due diligence process for new transactions, including reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management.
- Conduct ad-hoc research on specific countries, sectors, or credit-related topics as needed.
- Assist in maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional service and support.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Law, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial concepts and risk management principles.
- Passion for finance and risk management, with a focus on starting a career in the finance industry.
- Strong analytical skills to conduct detailed risk analysis and evaluate credit and political/country risks.
- Business development mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying potential clients and growth opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex risk concepts and analysis to internal teams and external clients.
- Collaborative nature, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Research abilities, with the capacity to conduct thorough research on specific countries, sectors, or credit-related topics.
