Position Overview
The Quality Manager plays a crucial role in defining and aligning the quality strategy within the department as a key member of the management team. This position is responsible for executing and reporting on various process enhancement initiatives that are integral to the quality strategy at both the departmental and sector levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and aligns the quality strategy for the department, ensuring it meets organizational goals.
- Implements and monitors process improvement projects, providing regular updates on progress and outcomes.
- Leads project teams in identifying process gaps, recommending enhancements, and ensuring successful implementation within the department.
- Contributes insights from the department to the broader cluster and sector quality roadmap.
- Communicates quality status effectively across groups and at the departmental level, enhancing transparency.
- Supports and mentors project teams and engineers on the quality of proposed technical solutions and deliverables.
- Empowers staff to uphold their responsibilities in quality control by maintaining and disseminating departmental processes, along with regular reporting on adherence to these processes.
- Facilitates feedback loops and lessons learned sessions across various departmental groups and competencies.
- Oversees departmental technical competencies and leads regular meetings with competence leaders.
Educational Requirements
A Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, accompanied by relevant experience in quality management.
Professional Experience
- Over 8 years of experience in technically-driven international organizations, preferably in a development-focused environment.
- Proven experience in a quality management role.
- Proficient in quality methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, Kaizen, brainstorming techniques, FMEA, 8D, and Ishikawa diagrams.
- Familiarity with international quality standards (ISO 9001/14001/TS 16949), as well as experience in process assessments and audits.

Context of the Role
The mission of the Quality Cluster is to enhance technology development by ensuring robust quality control, minimizing risks, and driving improvements. This role is essential in providing insights into development and engineering processes, ensuring predictable outcomes. As the demand for rapid delivery of advanced technology increases, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability becomes increasingly challenging. Therefore, it is imperative that our processes are both effective and efficient. The Quality Manager will report to the Cluster Quality Manager and will be integral to the Mechatronics Systems Development EUV department staff. Additionally, this role involves coaching and facilitating group leaders on quality-related matters and advising on quality initiatives across departmental groups.
