The team of Credit Control & Treasury at Hitachi Construction Machinery consists of three professionals: one manager and two credit controllers. The team is part of the Finance & Accounting organization and has an informal culture. Team members work together to perform daily and weekly tasks, with a hands-on approach to activities such as processing bank mutations, reporting on accounts receivable and open items, communicating with customers, and participating in the monthly closing process.
The Role
The Manager Credit Control & Treasury is responsible for supporting sales activities by actively managing credit, minimizing credit loss through effective credit risk management. The role ensures monitoring, planning, and managing cash flow and treasury activities to fund business activities in line with the company's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of finance professionals
- Oversee cash flow management and treasury activities
- Support business lines with treasury activities, investments, and financing, and provide interest rate quotes
- Formulate the company's credit policy to mitigate unnecessary risk
- Evaluate prospects
- Oversee integrated risk management tools and ensure data quality and timeliness of credit reports
- Analyze operational systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Financial studies
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role
- Fluent English and preferably Dutch
- Good communication and influencing skills, flexibility, negotiation skills, and a hands-on/can-do mentality
- Leadership qualities in people and processes
- Accurate and service-minded attitude
