We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Technician to join our team at ATC Computer Transport & Logistics. As a Data Centre Technician, you will play a critical role in the installation and upkeep of cabling to ensure seamless operations of hardware networks.
Key Responsibilities- Attend clients' sites on time, with all required equipment, uniform, procedures, and documentation, and PPE.
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
- Familiarity with common networking terms, cabling infrastructure best practices, and methodologies.
- Experience with medium to large, complex project scopes and ambiguous details within work environment.
- Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
- Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers, Switches, and other network gear.
- Cabling server racks by patching and dressing fibre and copper cables.
- Providing industry-leading customer service levels by acting professionally with clients and colleagues at all times.
- Following clients' procedures and requirements, including health and safety, and security.
- Communicating with colleagues, including managers, planners, team leaders, and supervisors, in a consistent, timely, and efficient manner.
- Completing daily checklists and providing reports on daily activities or tasks, including other general administration tasks.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with high levels of attention to detail.
- Prior experience with the installation of structured cabling, including fibre and copper.
- Valid class B driving licence with a good driving record.
- Basic experience with hand and power tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Email.
- Language proficiency: B1 level in English.
- Proficiency in another European language would be advantageous.
